Certification Requirements

The Chi Nei Tsang Institute Certification Program is fully approved by Master Mantak Chia’s Healing Tao System and is recognized internationally by Associated Body-workers and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are offered to licensed practitioners by authority of their respective State Boards.


Level 1 Practitioner Program: 331 hours

Two CNT Fundamentals classes .......................100 hrs

CNT Anatomy Course ........................................15 hrs

Space & Boundaries Chi Kung ...........................15 hrs

Fusion Retreat ....................................................65 hrs

CNT Business Practices Course ..........................21 hrs

Clinical Class - two 10-week modules or two 5-day intensives .....60 hrs

50 case studies in Record of Treatment format ...50 hrs

10 treatments received and documented on Application Form ..........................10 hrs

Texts: Healing from Within (Marin); Fusion of the 5 Elements (Chia), Taoist Ways to Transform Stress into Vitality (Chia), Chi Nei Tsang: Internal Organs Chi Massage (Chia). 

Case studies must be presented on the Record of Treatment Form.

Treatments must be received from a certified CNT Practitioner and fully documented on your Application for Certification.

Coursework in lieu of missed classes is subject to the consent of the Instructor and the approval of the Education Director; additional fees apply.

One of the Anatomy class requirements may be fulfilled by either satisfactorily completing 25 illustrations from The Anatomy & Physiology Colouring Book or completing an Anatomy class at any accredited institution of higher learning.

Proof of professional standing required for Level 2 certification (business license, fictitious business name statement with proof of publication, business card, proof of insurance).

Students are responsible for maintaining their own records, including Certificates of Attendance, Record of Treatments, & Case Studies.


Level 2 Practitioner Program: 586 hours

Level 1 Certification as above ...........................330 hrs

Two Emotional Processing Retreats ..................130 hrs

Clinical Class - two 10-week modules or two 5-day intensives ......................60 hrs

50 case studies in Record of Treatment format ...50 hrs

10 treatments received documented on Application Form .......................10 hrs

Texts:  Five Elements, Six Conditions (Marin); The Great Tao (Chang). 

 

Level 3 Practitioner Program: 701 hours

Level 2 Certification as above ...........................580 hrs

Two Global Body Attitude Classes ....................130 hrs

CNT Anatomy Course (repeat or equivalent) ......15 hrs

Texts:  Awakening Healing Light (Chia). 

Case studies must be presented on the Record of Treatment Form.

Treatments must be received from a certified CNT Practitioner and fully documented on your Application for Certification.

Teaching Tracks A & B


A

Direct a CNT study group for a minimum attendance of six students for a year, OR

Assist at one EACH of the following classes:  Fundamentals, Emotional Processing, and Global Body Attitude, OR

Complete and document a special project of a public or community nature by petition to the CNTI Education Director.  Examples include publication of an article about CNT in a magazine or other periodical, organizing a community program or event to educate the public about CNT, holding public lectures or demonstrations or assisting a certified CNT practitioner in organizing a workshop.

Teach a complete CNT Fundamentals class to ten students, OR assist at one EACH of the following CNT Institute classes:  Fundamentals, Emotional Processing, and Global Body Attitude, PLUS 60 hours co-teaching at CNT Institute classes.
